Deep in thought

You've gotta have friends...

Mother's Group has not only been a Godsend for me (the understanding, adult conversation, sharing of information, the friendship) but it's also been great for Jake in teaching him how to make friends (and hopefully)keep them for a very long time.

Friends in the park

Capri and Jade came to visit and we all went to the park. Loads of fun...can you tell by my face says Jake?

Rainy afternoons are made for this

The Graduate

As we too quickly for my liking approach Jake's first birthday, we're constantly astounded by how quickly things change in a baby's life. Looking at old photos today (ha! "old"...from when he was 5 months), I can see now that Jake's "baby" qualities are disappearing and being replaced by a real little boy.
Case in point: our little man has graduated from wondersuits to his first grown up pjs. Too cute for words AND picked by dad. He knows what looks good on our boy.

A snack in the park

And a rare one of the two of us...

English Channel, here I come!

Yes, it is winter here in Bondi as well, but the Hakoah Club on Hall Street has a beautifully heated pool and this is where Jake had his first swim of the year in Oz (he also had one back in January in Balclutha while visiting Nana Rose).
He took to it like the proverbial duck to water. Doesn't he look at treat?

Justine likes to sing, Jake likes to watch

On Saturday morning, Jake got to see his favourite singer, Justine Clarke at the ABC store in Miranda but not before a marathon public transport logistical nightmare ensued!
After checking timetables and planning our trip to perfection, we got to the train station to discover there were no trains running on that line and buses were replacing the trains. It took a little longer than planned but we got there in time to see and hear Justine sing some of Jake's favourite songs (set list below for fans of set lists).
  • I Like To Sing
  • Dancing Face
  • Gumtree Family
  • Watermelon

The look on Jake's face on seeing these songs sung live was priceless.

Friends catch up for lunch

Jake and HIS friend Liz, catch up for a quick bite. I was merely there to photograph the event.
They love each other!
