Okay, let's get serious...

After blogging for some months now, but not really doing it regularly, I've been inspired not just prattle on but actually contribute something to this great big cyber universe we (literally) live in. Nath says my first name should have been "Gunna" because I always say I'm "gunna" do this or that, but never seem to get around to doing these things. Well, no longer. I'm going (gunna?)to get serious and get stuck in. I had these visions of having my baby and being the creative type (or so I say), starting up a little home workshop business of some artistic value. I've had loads of ideas and am becoming very familiar with the staff at Spotlight's art and craft department but all that's done is fill up my cupboard. So, now that's I've committed it to written word right here, right now, I'm holding myself accountable for my aspirations to become realities and get the following projects off the ground and ready for worldwide consumption. Here's my list of to dos: 1. Party plan party dresses I've listed on ebay the dresses that started this blog so many moons ago under my Billie Rose shop. It's the first step so here it is at number one. Other items I've listed to soon be for sale at my store include Nursery Room Decor and Gift ideas. (see 2. below) 2. Magnetic Affirmations aka Affirmagnets A friend (you know who you are) had been inspired by The Secret to put her life plans in action recently and as a result had posted herself a note on her fridge as a daily reminder of this new goal. We'd been brainstorming ideas for new business ventures when Nath realised that brilliant one was right under our noses, affirmations (like the one on my friends fridge) on magnets! 3. Baby Room Art I recently visited one of the newer, very trendy baby stores in Westy BJ. They had these gorgeous little frames with retro fabric shapes of animals and Disney character silhouettes for pasted on them for sale for over $85.00! Hooley Dooley!!! I could've made those for a couple of dollars but somebody with some actual nous beat me to it. Sooooo, what about some lovely written words or lyrics that convey to baby what mama and papa were feeling when they first arrived? eg. "You are the sunshine of my life, forever you'll stay in my heart". I've already made a couple for friends and hope to get some more done soon. Which leads me to... 4. Market stall I'd love to set up a market stall and sell all my baby wares (hey, you sell what you know, and right now, I know babies) and more. 5. Magnetic invites A work in progress but I shall hold back from divulging more for fear of someone nicking my idea and actually running with it! 6. Buy a sewing machine And going back to my first love, fashion design but for babies....there's no good clothes for little boys (apart for Bonds - where would Jake be without you but naked for all the world to see his worldly goods). My creative juices are on the boil as I write this so wish me luck and let's hope momentum is on my side!
